I've been looking at styles to inspire an art direction for Adaptation part B. I am looking to get a style that reflects the time period (1880), whilst still giving the vagueness and fragmented memory feel of The Rake creepypastas.

Out of this selection, the most useful sources seem to be the drawn style of Never Ending Nightmare, the darkness of Backwater Gospel, the frantic nature of Waltz with Bashir and the detached and autonomous feel of the black and white photos.
