The top drawing is good up until the waist...unfortunately though you've drawn the legs based upon the edge of the page? Seeing as you're working digitally you can extend the page at anytime to avoid that mistake happening.
agreed - the top image has a suitably grim/monstrous face, but then it's got these cartoon legs that don't make sense - I suggest you look at some big mammal skeletons as further reference in terms of rib-cages and pelvis etc.
Jesus Adam, these are awesome!! The posing, colour scheme and expression all combine very nicely. First one's definitely my fave :)
