Rob-o-Matic: Final Progress 02
Here's a fully rendered version of my animation. It's practically the same as the last video I posted, but this version has the main scene rendered instead of playblasts. The shadows and overall quality of the renders is low because I've had to adjust the gamma in After Effects which lowers the quality of these renders. So now I'm looking into getting it re-rendered with the colour correction 'on' so that I can improve the renders.
As I have paid a render farm to render this scene for me, I'm looking into the possibility of getting it re-rendered at a lower price. Don't forget to tick that box everyone! It could save you a lot of money!
So essentially this is here to show what the lighting in my animation will look like. :)

Rob-o-Matic: Final Progress 01
Almost there! I've added in a few new sounds for the robot in the main scene. Still no sound for Rob in the dance scene but I'd like to get his sound right in the main scene before I tackle the next part. I still feel like I need to add in a few sounds here and there but I thought I'd post up the progress so that I can (hopefully) receive some feedback on what I have so far. :)

Rob-o-Matic: Compilation of Animation 10
In this version of my animation I've increased the volume of the actions made by the homeowner and I've switched the positions of the Robot and Hoover in part of the dancing scene.

Rob-o-Matic: Compilation of Animation 09
Since the last comp, I've fixed the blue stripe in the advert and I've added in the new wine bottles. In this version of my animation I still need to add in the sounds of the robot as he moves around and emotes throughout the animation. I also still need to add in sounds for other small things like when he chucks the remote onto the sofa near the beginning. After listening to this through the speakers of my computer (not through headphones) I feel like the new sounds at the beginning of my animation might be a bit too quiet. I'll be interested to hear anyone's opinion on this.

Rob-o-Matic: Wall and Floor Reworks

3. Green walls and improved floor |

4. Original walls and new floor |
Out of these experiments I personally like number 4 the most. Without having to completely change the wallpaper I believe that the original looks better with the scene. The green will probably look better with a different wallpaper pattern but due to time constraints I'd rather explore the possibility of a new wallpaper after graduation.
Rob-o-Matic: Compilation of Animation 06

Rob-o-Matic: Pink Decor Change

In these images you can see that I've changed the decor of the room. It's no longer green, I've decided to make it pink because it's more in-keeping with the idea that the homeowner is a single woman living at home alone. I've also populated the bookshelf a lot more. Yet another noticeable change is that the robot can now change the colour of his eyes (a comparison of before and after can be seen above). I'm interested to hear anyone's thoughts on the scene so far, I've been thinking of changing the wallpaper to feature a tinge of pink but I'm worried that this could be too much.

Rob-o-Matic: Animation Compilation With Whole Dance Scene
This test compiles the new animation that I've been working on. It's purpose is to show the style and length of my animated short. A lot of sound still needs to be added in and i'd like to refine some of the animation.
My animation features sounds from freeSFX.com, some music from bensound.com and an Edited sample of Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes - (I've Had) The Time Of My Life. It also features voice talent from Bethan Dixon Bate as the homeowner and Jazz Walker as the announcer on the robot advert.

Rob-o-Matic: Animation Compilation
A test which compiles the animation that I've been working on. It's purpose is to show the style and length of my animated short. I'm missing a few scenes, a lot of sound and some scenes need finishing up. Towards the end of the animation, I use a little footage from the film 'Dirty Dancing' to show off what the Robot will be doing at that point in the animation. My animation features sounds from freeSFX.com, some music from bensound.com and an Edited sample of Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes - (I've Had) The Time Of My Life. Rob-o-Matic: Dance Scene Progress 01
For the Dancing scene in my animation, I've decided to mimic the dance from the final scene in dirty dancing. I've chosen to do this because it's an incredibly recognisable dance and even if the viewer doesn't recognise the dance from the film 'Dirty Dancing', it'll still be funny to see a robot dance with a hoover in this way
Below is the progress of the dancing scene in my animation, there are still a few kinks that I need to fix, however I like the way it's shaping up against the real footage in the background. I'd love to hear any feedback on what I've got so far.

Rob-o-Matic: Animation & Set Progress Update
Here's some more updated animation and set design. I'm currently working on getting a voice over for the homeowner as well as applying sounds to this scene 1.

Rob-o-Matic: Progress Update
Here's the latest playblast of my animation so far. Not much has changed with the animation but I've been working on getting the scene right before I move on to animating scene 2 and 3.
I still want to put more things in the bookshelf and I still need to connect up wires to the lamps and electronics in the scene. Some more work needs to be done on the textures as well but I'll work on that and I'll be posting up some test renders very soon with a final scene.
I'm still open to any suggestions and feedback as always

Rob-o-Matic: Wallpaper Updates
In the shot above, I've attempted to give the effect of wooden paneling. I like the way the wallpaper looks but I feel like it may be a bit too much of the same pattern. I'd be happy to hear any feedback on the work so far. The pattern itself is a free wallpaper pattern from FreeGreatPicture.net. However I may have to play around with different colours because of how it's similar to the colour of my Robot.

Rob-o-Matic: Newest Renders and Playblasts

This playblast shows where I am currently in my animation, it still needs a lot of adjustments but i'd be happy to receive any constructive feedback. I'd like to point out the elephants in the room first; the phone and lamp are floating because I still need to add in the dresser, the bookcase needs more 'filler', the bottles need to be animated in at the right times because at the moment they're permanently on the sofa and I also need to get the door to open at the beginning when the owner leaves. The door is animated to open but this doesn't show in playblasts because it may be a viewport error.

Rob-o-Matic: Scene 01 Animation Progress
Here's the test animation for Scene 01. This scene is a bit more resolved because I wanted to test what my rig could do a bit more. I personally like the way the robot is animated but I'm open to any kinds of suggestions around how to improve it. :)
The following scenes will be more pre-vis-like as I attempt to get timings right and work out the kinks before I move on to animating fully.
I've also been working on changing the vibe of the place by switching up the wallpapers. I'll be working on filling up the near empty scene as time goes on.
